"I never thought I’d need a lawyer, but life had other plans. After my car accident, I’m so glad I chose Adam Handler to represent me. A family member recommended him, and it was the best decision I could’ve made. I truly appreciate Adam and his team, and would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs a lawyer they can trust.”
- Andres from Brooklyn, NY
What Happened?
On January 6, 2025, Andres was walking to work early in the morning. As he crossed the street in the crosswalk with the walk signal at Knickerbocker Avenue and Flushing Avenue, a driver heading eastbound on Flushing Avenue attempted to turn left onto Knickerbocker Avenue and struck him. Thankfully, the driver stayed at the scene and 911 was called. Andres was transported by ambulance to the hospital, where he was evaluated, treated, and released the same day.
As a result of the collision, Andres sustained injuries to his lower back and left hip. He experienced worsened pain with standing, walking, bending, or using the stairs, and could only sit or stand for up to 15 minutes at a time. His lower back pain persisted, making it difficult to sleep and walk normally. He even had to use a cane for support. When extensive conservative treatment failed, he ultimately required pain management injections to his lower back in April 2025. Because of the severity of his pain, Andres was unable to return to work for several months.
Andres’ Brooklyn Pedestrian Injury Lawyer
After a family member recommended our team, Andres reached out just three days after his accident - and we immediately got to work. Despite his clear injuries and inability to work, the defendant’s insurance company minimized his pain and initially offered only $30,000. We refused to settle for less than he deserved and told them we’d see them in court. Just 14 days after their low offer, the insurance company tendered the maximum policy limit of $50,000!
