What Happened?
On March 16, 2025, Abigail was leaving work and driving home on Rockaway Boulevard. While at the intersection of North Conduit Avenue and Rockaway Boulevard, another vehicle ran a red light, striking her on the rear right side and hitting two other cars. The force of the collision caused Abigail’s car to spin out of control, but thankfully, she did not collide with any additional vehicles. The driver of the other vehicle appeared to be drunk and fled the scene shortly after hitting Abigail and the other cars. Abigail was taken to the hospital by ambulance, where she was evaluated, treated for her injuries, and released the same day.
As a result of the collision, Abigail suffered injuries to her head, neck, shoulders, and lower back. The airbags deployed, and her head struck the airbag upon impact. She experienced right-sided headaches with ringing in her ear, severe neck and shoulder pain, and back pain that made it difficult to walk, bend, lift, or carry. When conservative treatment failed to provide relief, she underwent pain management injections and cervical and lumbar spine discectomies in July 2025. Unfortunately, because she was unable to return to work after the accident, she lost her job.
