“The accident was an incredibly stressful experience, but from my very first conversation with Adam, I felt completely at ease. He said he would fight for me for the maximum compensation, and he delivered! I trusted Adam with my case, and I would trust him with my life. Thank you so much!”
- Tess from Bronx, NY
What Happened?
In March 2019, Tess was working when she began crossing the intersection of Fulton Street and Saint James Place in Brooklyn, New York, with the pedestrian signal. She was legally crossing the street and almost to the other side when a vehicle making a left turn struck her on the right side, knocking her to the ground on her left side.
Tess went to a nearby Brooklyn hospital, where she was evaluated, treated, and subsequently released home. Due to worsening pain, she returned to the hospital a few days later.
As a result of the accident, Tess suffered serious injuries to her neck, lower back, left shoulder, right hip, and both knees. She experienced neck and lower back pain that radiated into her upper and lower extremities on both sides.
Even years later, she continued experiencing severe and constant neck pain that made sleeping very difficult. Her overall pain was constant and worsened with lifting, carrying, bending, standing up, and walking. When conservative treatment failed to improve her symptoms, Tess received pain management injections to her lower back and underwent multiple surgeries involving her lower back, left shoulder, right hip (total hip replacement), and both knees. Unfortunately, Tess can no longer work in her field.
Tess’ Brooklyn Personal Injury Lawyer
After the accident, Tess hired other lawyers to represent her. While she focused on her long journey to recovery, those lawyers handled the legal side of her accident.
As the case progressed over the years and the fight against the defendant’s insurance company intensified, her lawyers made an important decision to best support Tess. They referred her to attorney Adam Handler - The Case Handler!
The defendant’s insurance company was determined to pay as little as possible, so we were prepared to take the case to trial. When the defendant made a substantial settlement offer, it was the kind of offer many lawyers would have accepted. But it wasn’t an offer we were willing to accept for Tess. The very next day, the defendant came back with the maximum settlement amount we were seeking!
With the help of our Brooklyn personal injury lawyer, all of Tess’ medical bills were paid, and she secured a substantial $3,250,000 settlement!
