In December 2016, Alexis was driving to work with her daughter in the vehicle. While she was driving west on East Gun Hill Road in the Bronx and about to cross the intersection of Hull Avenue, there was an ambulette attempting to make an illegal u-turn from the far right lane and failed to see Alexis driving on the left side. Alexis had just entered the intersection when the ambulette t-boned her car on the passenger’s side! The driver of the ambulette got out of his vehicle to check on them and apologized for not seeing them on the road. Alexis and her daughter were transported to the emergency room at Montefiore Medical Center where they were evaluated, treated and discharged home with pain medication.
As a result of the accident, Alexis suffered injuries to her right shoulder, neck, right hip, and lower back. The pain continued to grow worse on a daily basis and she had difficulty with functional mobility, bathing, ambulation, sitting, bending, lifting, and reaching. Her right shoulder pain prevented her from holding anything in her right hand and the pain in her neck would shoot down to her right hand with a tingling sensation. Her right hip pain traveled down the right leg with numbness and her lower back pain was aggravated by bending, prolonged sitting, or prolonged standing. Alexis underwent intensive conservative treatment, a pain management injection, and neck surgery (Anterior Cervical Discectomy C5-C6).
A church member told Alexis to consider contacting The Case Handler since her sister had a past accident and hired our team to sort it out. With the help of our top Bronx ambulette accident lawyer at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, we helped Alexis pay her medical bills, recover her lost wages from not being able to work, and settle her bodily injury claim for $95,000.00!
