"This wasn’t my first experience with a lawyer, but I have to say – Matt is exceptional. He’s very personal, professional, and extremely attentive. I’d recommend this firm every day of the week, and twice on Sunday. Thank you so much, Case Handler team!"

What Happened?
It was Sunday afternoon on August 22, 2021, when Sammy was in the bathroom, leaning towards the mirror while shaving. Suddenly, he heard a cracking noise but couldn’t tell where it was coming from. The noise grew louder, and through the mirror, he saw the ceiling collapsing on top of him. As he fell backward, he struck his right shoulder against the towel bar holder.
Just a day before this incident, a complaint had been sent to the building manager about a leak in the bathroom. However, the manager explained that weekend requests were only for emergencies and did not assist. After the ceiling collapsed, Sammy was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he was evaluated, treated, and released with pain medication.
As a result of the accident, Sammy sustained injuries to his lower back and right shoulder. His lower back pain radiated down his lower extremities and worsened when bending down, getting up from a chair, or getting out of bed. Before the accident, Sammy had no issues with his right shoulder. An MRI revealed a high-grade partial rotator cuff tear. He experienced increased pain with lifting, reaching overhead or behind him, and with simple daily activities like putting on or taking off his coat. When minimally invasive pain management failed to help, Sammy underwent right shoulder surgery in February 2022.
