- Karson from Bronx, NY
What Happened?
On October 15, 2024, Karson was a backseat passenger in a rideshare vehicle. He had been picked up from home and was on his way to work. While traveling on the Cross-Bronx Expressway near Nelson Avenue, the rideshare driver slowed down due to nearby construction. At that moment, a construction truck made a sudden lane change, and the vehicle behind the rideshare car was not paying attention and rear-ended the vehicle Karson was riding in. Immediately after the crash, the other vehicle sped off from the scene.
At first, Karson didn’t believe he was seriously injured. However, the next day he woke up in pain and later went to the hospital, where he was evaluated, treated, and released with pain medication.
As a result of the hit-and-run collision, Karson suffered injuries to his neck, back, and left shoulder. When the rideshare vehicle was struck, Karson hit the back of his head against the seat from the impact. While he did not feel pain right away, his symptoms gradually worsened. He began experiencing constant, tight pain along the left side of his neck, back, and shoulder, along with headaches and difficulty sleeping. When conservative pain management failed to improve his left shoulder condition, Karson ultimately underwent left shoulder surgery for a torn tendon in April 2025.
Karson’s Bronx Hit and Run Attorney
Karson had heard about our personal injury team and our results for clients, so he contacted our office a few days after the accident to see if we could help. Because the at-fault driver fled the scene, our team conducted an investigation but unfortunately found that the other vehicle had no insurance coverage. Thankfully, the rideshare vehicle carried uninsured motorist coverage to protect passengers in situations like this. With the help of our Bronx hit-and-run attorney, we were able to successfully recover the maximum uninsured motorist policy limit of $25,000 for Karson.
