What Happened?
On August 31, 2023, Samara was crossing the street, with the walk signal on, at the intersection of East Fordham Road and Bainbridge Avenue in the Bronx. Suddenly, a vehicle turned left onto Bainbridge Avenue, carelessly sideswiping her right hand, causing her to spill her coffee, and then running over her right foot with the rear tire. Shockingly, instead of stopping to check on Samara, the driver fled the scene, leaving her injured and bewildered.
