What Happened?
On December 29th, 2016, Annamarie was walking near the intersection of Riverdale Avenue and 254th Street in the Bronx when she tripped over a pothole and fell to the ground! She immediately felt pain in her right foot. Less than an hour later, her foot was swollen and started feeling much worse. She didn’t believe her injury was that bad at first, but after a few days, she knew that she needed medical attention.
As a result of the accident, Annamarie injured her right elbow and sustained a Jones Fracture (a break between the base and shaft of the fifth metatarsal bone) of the right foot that required surgical intervention on January 19, 2016. She was confined to her bed for about four weeks. Annamarie experienced joint pain, swelling, stiffness, and muscle pain that made it very difficult to sleep through the night. Although surgery and pain management did improve her right foot, she still experiences pain to this day.
Annamarie tried contacting other attorneys to take her case and they said it was too difficult, so they all refused to take her case! At that time, she was working for a surgical center and a medical representative that heard about her accident asked if she tried calling The Case Handler! All thanks to that recommendation, Annamarie finally found a lawyer that saw hope when other lawyers gave up.
“Adam Handler and Matt Goodstein were honest from the beginning. They said it would be a tough case, but they still took it and won,” said Annamarie.
With the help of our personal injury attorneys at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, our Bronx pothole trip attorneys recovered $150,000.00 for Annamarie!
