What Happened?
On December 23rd, 2021, James was traveling south on Needham Avenue in Bronx, New York. He was driving through the intersection of East 221st Street without stopping because there were no stop signals on Needham Avenue, but there were stop signs for vehicles on East 221st Street. As James passed through, a vehicle at the same intersection with a stop sign did not stop and crashed into the driver’s side of James’ vehicle! James went to the hospital where he was evaluated, treated, and discharged home with pain medication.
James injured his neck, head, and mid-lower back due to this accident. He described the worst area of pain in his back as a constant sharp, aching pain with tightness on the left side of his back which grew worse by sitting and standing. He described the pain in his neck as a constant tension and pressure sensation that worsened when he turned his head, limiting his mobility. James has had to attend chiropractic care, physical therapy, and massage therapy. Thankfully, he was not required to undergo pain management injections or surgeries.
