As a result of the accident, Derrick injured his neck, back, and shoulders (left shoulder tear and right shoulder derangement). He experienced pain in his shoulders and upper back with stiffness in his neck. He had difficulty with twisting and turning his neck, bending forward, sitting, standing, and walking for a prolonged period of time. He complained of weakness in his arms and legs with numbness and tingling in his feet.
