What Happened?
On September 3rd, 2020, Sanaya was a backseat Uber passenger riding in Bronx, New York. As the vehicle she was in crossed the intersection of East 233rd Street and Dyre Avenue with a green light, there was another vehicle that drove into the intersection and crashed into the car Sanaya was in and a parked vehicle. The other driver reported that he was attempting to make a u-turn to park his car when he lost control of the car and caused the accident with the other vehicles. Sanaya was transported by ambulance to Jacobi Medical Center, where she was evaluated, treated, and discharged home early the next morning.
As a result of the accident, Sanaya suffered injuries to her right shoulder, right knee, and back. While at the hospital, she remembered not being able to stop her right hand from shaking due to the trauma she had just experienced and it thankfully went away after some time. The pain she felt after the accident was constant. She had difficulty with sitting, bending, lifting, and reaching for objects. Sanaya also had difficulty laying on her right shoulder. She missed work for a few months and decided to go back to work when she “thought” she was better. Once she returned to work, her lower back pain worsened so she continued attending physical therapy to help alleviate her pain. Fortunately, she did not have to undergo surgery.
Thanks to her Dad’s recommendation, Sanaya got the phone number to our office and called us one day after the accident! The Defendant’s insurance company made two offer’s to Sanaya that was way too low. With the help of our skilled Bronx Uber passenger accident lawyer at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, we helped Sanaya recover her lost wages, pay her medical bills, and recover a much higher settlement than the insurance company was offering!
