- Ki from Brooklyn, NY
What Happened?
On May 14, 2025, Ki was a front-seat passenger in a vehicle that was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Avenue D and Rockaway Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. Suddenly, her vehicle was rear-ended with great impact, pushing them into the car in front of them. Ki braced herself with her right hand on the dashboard. The vehicle that caused the crash drove off immediately after the collision. When emergency responders arrived, they examined Ki at the scene and did not believe she needed to go to the hospital. However, the next day she went to the emergency room, where she was evaluated, treated, and released.
As a result of the hit-and-run accident, Ki suffered injuries to her neck, right shoulder, right wrist, right hand, back, and both knees. She experienced persistent neck pain radiating into her right arm, along with numbness and tingling. She also suffered lower back pain that radiated down her legs, accompanied by numbness and tingling. Ki sustained a meniscus tear and internal derangement in both knees, which made prolonged walking and sitting difficult. She was unable to work for several months. Ki underwent conservative treatment and thankfully was able to avoid intrusive surgery.
Ki’s Brooklyn Hit and Run Lawyer
Ki’s father was a past client of ours, so after his daughter’s accident, he told her to call his lawyer, Adam Handler. Although the at-fault driver fled the scene, photos of the license plate were secured, allowing us to identify and track down the driver. With the help of our Brooklyn hit and run lawyer, Ki recovered her lost wages, had her medical bills paid, and was able to hold the at-fault driver accountable. Ki recovered a substantial settlement from the defendant’s insurance company just 10 months later and is back at work.
