What Happened?
On April 6, 2017, Lisa was a front seat passenger in a car that was stopped in traffic on Pennsylvania Avenue near Linden Boulevard. In a matter of seconds, another vehicle sped out of a gas station and hit the front driver’s side of the vehicle Lisa was riding in. After the collision, Lisa remembers being in shock. She did not feel pain at first, so she didn’t go to the hospital right away. Later, she went to The Brooklyn Hospital Center to be evaluated because she said, “Everything was hurting,” and she could not even raise her arm over her head.
Lisa suffered injuries to her back, neck, right shoulder, and legs. When the accident happened, she remembered holding onto the front passenger’s side door to brace herself for the impact and she felt a whiplash like movement. She described a radiating pain down her right arm. Lisa also mentioned having back pain that radiated down to her right leg. She sprained her right hip, right thigh, and had a chest wall contusion. Movement, lifting, and bending intensified her pain. She was confined to her home for two months. As a result of the accident, Lisa underwent pain management, steroid injections, and subsequently a discectomy (surgical removal) at L4-5 of the lumbar spine.
Lisa heard about Adam Handler from another New York personal injury lawyer. Lisa started her case with Adam before he left his old firm. When Adam started his practice at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, she thought he was such a good lawyer that she stuck with him throughout the process of switching firms! Lisa was able to rest easy knowing her case was in good hands so she could focus on healing. In the end, The Case Handler team successfully recovered $90,000.00 for Lisa!
