What Happened?
While our client was walking in the crosswalk at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn, a vehicle traveling westbound ran a red light and struck Collin. He was rushed to the hospital by ambulance to a Brooklyn hospital, where he was diagnosed with multiple traumatic injuries including fractures to his right arm and right ankle. These injuries required surgery and a prolonged recovery. Collin’s medical bills and lost wages began to pile up and the driver’s insurance policy limit was only $250,000. Typically an injured person’s recovery is limited to the amount of insurance maintained by a tortfeasor. Fortunately for our client, Adam Handler kept fighting and helped Collin obtain an additional $50,000, which is unheard of in most cases.
