The Facts
On January 9th, 2017, Eve was driving right around the corner from her house. While stopped at a red light, another vehicle crashed into the driver’s side of her car! Thankfully, the side airbags in Eve’s car deployed and she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Eve was transported by ambulance to the Brookdale Hospital emergency room where she underwent routine examination and x-rays. She was subsequently released for outpatient care.
As a result of the accident, Eve injured her neck and back. The pain in her neck radiated to her shoulders that also left her arms feeling numb. She described the pain as a sharp deep pain and a pressure around the neck. The pain in her back radiated to her lower extremity and felt worse when she was standing, sitting, bending forward, lifting and twisting. Eve’s injuries made it very difficult for her to sleep, concentrate, and perform normal daily activities. Due to the pain, she was not able to return to work.
