What Happened?
On November 19th, 2019, Monte was driving southbound for work with a passenger on Rochester Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. Since the light ahead was green, Monte was about to cross the Eastern Parkway intersection when he was suddenly t-boned on the driver’s side by another car driving westbound. They called the police and Monte was soon taken by ambulance to the emergency room at Kings County Hospital Center where he was evaluated, treated, and discharged home with pain medication.
As a result of the accident, Monte injured his head, neck, and back. He felt neck pain radiating into the left extremity with tingling and numbness in his left arm/hand. He also felt lower back pain radiating into the left lower extremity with numbness in his toes that was aggravated by prolonged sitting, standing, or when attempting to bend. Monte experienced headaches, dizziness, blurred vision, and ringing in the ears. Even after months of physical therapy which he said did help him feel better, Monte was still unable to return to work for many months because of his ongoing pain.
Monte had heard our show on the radio and, thankfully, saved our phone number! Three days after the accident, Monte called our team and we jumped into action. The other driver’s insurance company tried to offer Monte a low amount to settle his case. While it was certainly a lot of money, we knew Monte deserved much more. With the help of our skilled Brooklyn rideshare accident lawyers at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, Monte recovered the maximum policy limits from the Defendant’s insurance company and all of his lost wages!
