What Happened?
On June 2, 2023, Zoey had just finished grocery shopping and was driving to pick up her son. She stopped at a red light at the intersection of East 105th Street and Flatlands Avenue when a large semi-truck rear-ended her! Zoey recalled her wrist slapping against the steering wheel and her back snapping. Initially, the other driver tried to leave the scene but stopped. The truck driver wanted to handle the accident without getting the insurance involved. He admitted to being distracted by a dog in the vehicle and failed to stop properly. Zoey subsequently went home after the accident but began to have tremendous headaches and nausea. The next day, she went to an urgent care center where she was examined, treated, and discharged home with pain medication.
Following the collision, Zoey suffered injuries to her neck, back, bilateral shoulders, and wrists. She complained of persistent neck pain with frequent headaches, accompanied by numbness and tingling in her arms and hands. She experienced more neck discomfort particularly when looking down. She also complained of upper and lower back pain with numbness in her lower extremity. Prolonged sitting aggravated her back pain and she had difficulty with bending down as well as straightening up. When minimally invasive pain management failed to improve her left wrist injury, she underwent left wrist surgery on September 5, 2023. As a result of her injuries from this accident, Zoey was unable to work for several months.
Thanks to a wonderful friend, Zoey was recommended to contact attorney Adam Handler! Despite having no police report and not immediately seeking medical attention because she didn’t think she was that injured at first, our top Brooklyn semi-truck accident attorney, Adam Handler, helped Zoey take care of all her medical bills, recover her lost wages from being out of work, and secure a $70,000.00 settlement in exactly 11 months! “I am extremely grateful. Thanks to Adam Handler with my settlement I am debt free,” said Zoey.
