What Happened?
David was walking near a commercial facility on a concrete sidewalk when his feet got caught in a crack. With his feet stuck while still moving forward, he slammed down to the ground like a tree. It happened so fast, that he was unable to brace for the impact and landed on his chin! Thankfully, David did not lose consciousness and went to the hospital where he was treated and later released home.
As a result of the trip and fall accident, David suffered injuries to his mouth, neck, shoulders, hands, and left knee. He had multiple disc herniations and tears in both of his shoulders. He participated in physical therapy for several months. When minimally invasive pain management did not improve his condition, David underwent a pain management injection to his right shoulder and had neck surgery. He was confined to his bed for about 7 weeks and was totally disabled for about 3 months, and remains partially disabled to this day.
David heard The Case Handler on the radio and made his ONE choice to call our team for help! After we filed a claim against the building’s insurance company, they refused to take liability for the incident and denied payment to David. With the help of our talented Brooklyn trip and fall accident attorneys, the insurance company admitted to knowing about the defect months before the accident and their offer went from $0 to $650,000.00! “It’s incredible what they did for me. I have already recommended two people so far,” he said.
