What Happened?
On January 20th, 2020, Norman was driving westbound on Pitkin Avenue. As he was crossing the Howard Avenue intersection, another driver that was also driving on Pitkin Avenue attempted to turn left onto Howard Avenue and crashed into the left rear quarter panel of Norman’s vehicle! The other driver stated to the police that “the sun was really bad and didn’t see” Norman’s car when she turned. Initially, Norman didn’t think he was badly injured. When he developed pain soon after, Norman went to Kings County Hospital Center the next morning for further evaluation, treatment, and was released home.
As a result of the accident, Norman injured his neck, back, and shoulders. He was unable to work for several days, however, he did manage to return to his job for only 2 hours per day. While he was experiencing pain in both shoulders, he suffered a rotator cuff tear in his right shoulder that felt much worse than his left side. As a result, he underwent pain management injections to his right shoulder. A year after his accident, Norman continued having difficulty with certain daily activities that were not a problem prior to the accident such as heavy lifting, bending, pushing, prolonged sitting and standing. Thankfully, no surgeries were performed as a result of this accident.
Norman originally heard Adam Handler on the radio and saved his number just in case. Three days after the accident, he called The Case Handler team! Despite the fact that Norman suffered injuries in a previous accident in 2017, the police reported that no one was injured in this accident, and the insurance company only offered Norman $25,000 to settle his bodily injury claim, our reputable Brownsville Brooklyn accident lawyers at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP successfully recovered $47,500.00 for Norman!
