The Facts
On August 6th, 2017, Sam was a front-seat passenger traveling northbound on FDR Drive near East 116 Street in East Harlem. While they were driving in the middle lane, the car behind Sam’s vehicle crashed into them! When the accident occurred, all Sam could think about was the pregnant person in the backseat and didn’t think too much of herself. Sam soon realized that she was in pain, so she went to Hudson Valley Hospital to be examined.
As a result of the accident, Sam suffered injuries to her neck, back, right shoulder, and right wrist. She initially just felt discomfort in her right shoulder, but then she started to feel numbness and tingling throughout her right arm and fingers. Her pain was aggravated when lying flat, sitting for too long, and moving her right shoulder. Her mornings became extra difficult since she felt a lot of pain just getting out of bed. Sam attended physical therapy for several months and underwent injections.
Thanks to a friend’s recommendation, Sam called The Case Handler team. According to the police report, the driver of the other vehicle blamed Sam’s vehicle for the accident. The police also stated in the report that there were “no injuries due to accident” and that it was a “low impact accident” which from a legal point of view can hurt a case. To make matters more complicated, the other driver said that the car was actually driven by someone else. “It was a hot mess,” said Sam. With one chance at financial compensation, she chose the one team she could trust to clean up the mess! With our help, all of Sam’s medical bills were taken care of and she recovered $27,500.00!
