- Adrian from South Amboy, NJ
What Happened?
On July 17, 2023, Adrian was traveling north in the center lane on Garden State Parkway (GSP) in Perth Amboy, Middlesex County when the driver in the lane to his right made an improper lane change. The other car sideswiped the entire passenger side of Adrian’s vehicle. After pulling over, the other driver insisted they needed to leave and even urged Adrian to hang up on the state police because they were late for an appointment. When the police arrived at the scene, the other driver falsely accused Adrian of causing the accident, claiming he had veered into their lane and hit them. Since Adrian initially didn’t feel injured, he did not go to the hospital right away. However, as his injuries worsened, he sought medical attention two days later and was examined, treated, and discharged.
Following the collision, Adrian suffered injuries to his neck and right shoulder. He experienced consistent neck tightness, collarbone pain, and sharp, shooting pain with numbness and tingling in his right hand. His shoulder pain worsened when abducting his arm past 90 degrees, as well as with overhead reaching, pulling, lifting, and sleeping. He also experienced headaches that over-the-counter medication couldn’t relieve. When conservative therapy failed to improve his condition, Adrian received a pain management injection and underwent right shoulder surgery under general anesthesia in January 2024.
Adrian was referred to our New Jersey personal injury team from a past client. Once he realized the extent of his injuries, he sought medical attention and called The Case Handler lawyers. Despite the other driver’s claims that Adrian caused the accident, our team successfully obtained camera footage proving the other driver was at fault. Although the defendant’s insurance company initially offered Adrian a $68,500 settlement, with the help of our exceptional New Jersey sideswipe accident lawyer, Adrian recovered $92,000.00!
