“Adam Handler is a good man. I’m very happy with the settlement he got me. Go to Adam and he will get you paid!”
- Carson from Hempstead, NY
What Happened?
On September 3, 2022, Carson was driving a taxi southbound on Grand Avenue towards Stowe Avenue in the Town of Hempstead. As Carson approached the intersection, another vehicle making a left turn failed to yield the right-of-way, colliding with the driver’s side of Carson’s taxi! The other driver asserted to the police that Carson was at fault, citing “excessive speed” as the cause of the accident. Following the incident, Carson sought medical attention at Nassau University Medical Center where he underwent evaluation, treatment, and was subsequently discharged.
The accident resulted in injuries to Carson’s neck, lower back, and left shoulder. Pain radiated from his neck down his left shoulder and arm, while his lower back pain extended down his left leg. Even after several months, Carson continued having some difficulty with overhead activities and intermittent shooting pains in both his upper and lower extremities. Fortunately, his physical therapy program brought significant relief for his injuries and improved his activities of daily living. Since conservative treatment was successful, Carson avoided the necessity of surgeries or pain management injections.
Recognizing the need for legal support, Carson reached out to The Case Handler team a few days after the accident. Despite the other driver’s attempt to shift blame in the police report, our brilliant Hempstead taxi accident lawyer not only refuted the false accusation, but we also helped Carson pay his medical bills and recover a substantial settlement amount for Carson in just over one year!
