Long Island Passenger Injury Lawyer Review: Attonett

What Happened?

On June 9th, 2021, Attonett was a restrained backseat passenger of a vehicle that was involved in a collision on Lenox Road and Windermere Place. The driver of the vehicle in which she was traveling in was turning out from his parking lot and lost control of the vehicle, crashing into a parked car and then into a bush. The driver, allegedly, hit the gas pedal by mistake. All the airbags in the vehicle were deployed and the vehicle was completely totaled. Attonett lost consciousness for about five minutes and was taken by ambulance to the emergency room of Mount Sinai South Nassau hospital where she was evaluated, treated, and discharged home.

Attonett injured both wrists/hands, right ankle/foot, and both knees due to the accident. While she was in the hospital, she discovered that she suffered a fracture of both wrists. A half-cast was placed on the right side and a bandage was used on the left side. She participated in therapy three times a week for many months and was totally incapacitated since the collision. When minimally invasive pain management therapy failed to improve her injuries, she underwent right ankle/foot surgery under general anesthesia on September 17, 2021, right knee surgery under general anesthesia on February 24, 2022, and right wrist/hand surgery under general anesthesia on July 29, 2022.

It was Attonett’s father that recommended her to The Case Handler team. Five days after the accident happened, she contacted us! Attonett got the medical attention she needed and had relief knowing that our lawyers were taking care of her legal matter. “I was so comfortable with knowing that they had my case,” said Attonett. The Defendant’s insurance company initially offered $125,000 to settle her case. It was a big offer, but our highly skilled legal team knew Attonett deserved more! With the help of our Long Island passenger injury lawyer at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, Attonett’s medical bills were paid, she recovered $300,000 from the Defendant’s insurance company, and she recovered an additional $925,000 from an umbrella policy we found for a grand total settlement of $1,225,000!
