What Happened?
On February 17, 2022, Eileen was shopping at a well-known wholesale store in Long Island, New York. While browsing, she turned around to look at her daughter and tripped over a strap left on the floor from packaged items being unpacked. She fell hard on her right knee and outstretched left hand. The store’s night manager witnessed the incident, immediately picked up the strap, and attempted to conceal it by wrapping it up and tucking it between packaging materials. Only after this did he ask Eileen if she was okay, to which she replied, “No.” Shortly after, Eileen was transported by ambulance to the hospital, where she was evaluated, treated, and discharged the same day with pain medication.
