What Happened?
On November 16, 2021, around 10 p.m., Rob was leaving a gas station and driving westbound on Jericho Turnpike. With a green light, he turned left at the intersection of Marcellus Road and was almost through the intersection when the rear passenger side of his truck was suddenly t-boned by a speeding car traveling eastbound on Jericho Turnpike. The impact spun Rob’s truck, sending it crashing into the sidewalk. Rob went to the hospital, where he was evaluated, treated, and sent home with pain medication.
As a result of the accident, Rob sustained injuries to his neck and back. He experienced tightness and aching in his neck that radiated into his right shoulder and down his back. He also had back pain that radiated into the right hip and leg, making it difficult to lift, bend, squat, lie on his right side, or find a comfortable sleeping position. His pain affected both his sleep and his ability to work. Rob began physical therapy and responded extremely well to pain management injections to his lower back.
Rob’s Mineola Personal Injury Lawyers
Rob had heard about our legal team on the radio. Just two days after the accident, he contacted The Case Handler! While the defendant’s insurance had a maximum policy limit of $25,000, which we successfully secured, Rob also had underinsured motorist (UIM) coverage through his own insurance policy, in case he was ever injured by someone without enough coverage. Perfect, right? Not exactly. Even your own insurance company will try to pay as little as possible. But with the help of our experienced Mineola personal injury lawyers, we fought and won the maximum UIM policy limits of $175,000 through arbitration - for a total settlement of $200,000!
