“A huge thank you to The Case Handler team, especially attorney Matthew Goodstein, for their relentless dedication in resolving my personal injury case. From the start, I knew suing a government entity would be challenging, but through long and tough negotiations, they secured a settlement when no one wanted to take responsibility.
Matthew fought tirelessly, leaving no stone unturned. His patience, strategic thinking, and persistence forced the opposing side to settle despite legal loopholes. His professionalism, expertise, and commitment to his clients were instrumental in this victory.
I appreciate the firm’s respect, tenacity, and unwavering support - especially for the Caribbean community. Thank you for going the extra mile!”

What Happened?
On April 28, 2020, Christine was walking while on the clock for work when she tripped and fell due to a raised portion of a public sidewalk near a parking garage and bus terminal. She stated that her right foot caught against the raised cement, causing her to fall forward and strike her chin on the ground. The impact resulted in swelling and lacerations to her face, with her teeth cutting through her bottom lip. Her head also whipped backward upon impact. Christine was transported by ambulance to the hospital, where she was evaluated, treated, and later discharged with several stitches to her inner and outer lip, along with pain medication.
Christine sustained serious injuries to her neck, lower back, right shoulder (including a tear), left wrist, and feet. She described her neck and lower back pain as a constant tightness with muscle spasms on the right side of her neck. Her shoulder pain was the most severe, worsening with overhead movements, heavy lifting, and certain sleeping positions. She also experienced intermittent sharp pain in her wrist, which worsened with rotation and grasping, along with a clicking sensation and weakness that caused her to involuntarily drop objects. Christine underwent conservative treatment and underwent surgery for his lower lip laceration.
Christine’s Settlement With Our Mineola Trip and Fall Accident Attorneys
A few days after her fall, Christine decided to contact The Case Handler team for representation. Due to the location of her fall, the defendants initially refused to take responsibility, arguing that they did not own the “public” area where she fell - despite the fact that they maintained and cleaned the sidewalk. When the lower courts ruled against us, our Mineola trip and fall accident attorneys appealed the decision, successfully proving that the judge had made a mistake. Thanks to The Case Handler team’s persistence, Christine secured a $75,000 settlement!
