- Kenny from Westchester County, New York
What Happened?
On February 18, 2023, Kenny was driving around noon on Cross County Parkway in Mount Vernon near the Wartburg ramp when he encountered slowed traffic. Unfortunately, the driver behind him was not paying attention and failed to slow down, resulting in a forceful collision with the rear of Kenny’s vehicle. The impact was so intense that the rear windshield shattered, leaving Kenny’s car totaled. Promptly after the incident, emergency medical services assessed Kenny at the scene and he went to the hospital the next day for further evaluation and treatment. He was discharged on the same day with prescribed pain medication.
The accident resulted in injuries to Kenny’s back. Upon exiting his care after the collision, he felt unsteady and experienced immediate pain in his back. In the days following, Kenny endured upper back pain, particularly over the shoulder blades. The pain he felt in his mid back and lower back radiated down both lower extremities, accompanied by weakness and numbness in his legs. Prolonged periods of sitting or standing exacerbated his pain. He attended physical therapy regularly with only very temporary and partial relief. With minimal invasive treatments proving ineffective, Kenny opted for pain management injections and underwent lumbar spine surgery on September 28, 2023.
All thanks to his mother’s recommendation, Kenny connected with The Case Handler team three days after the accident. Despite a previous car accident Kenny was involved in about 2-3 years before this accident, our skilled Mount Vernon rear-end accident lawyer helped Kenny pay all of his medical bills and skillfully recovered the MAXIMUM POLICY LIMITS from the Defendant’s insurance company within a remarkably swift 8-month period!
