What Happened?
On August 31st, 2019, Danielle was slowing to traffic at the intersection of Ralph Avenue and Union Street in Booklyn, New York. While she was slowing down, there was a Toyota driver that failed to stop and crashed into another vehicle causing a chain reaction of rear-end car accidents with 5 vehicles! To make matters worse, the Toyota left the scene. Danielle was the third car to get hit. Thankfully, Danielle did not lose consciousness and later went to Methodist Hospital where she was treated and released home.
As a result of the accident, Danielle suffered injuries to her neck, back, and left shoulder. She reported persistent neck pain that would radiate to her arms and was associated with the feeling of weakness and a pins and needle sensation in her arms that was greater on the left side. She was left with multiple lumbar spine and cervical spine disc bulges and herniations. Medical examination of her left shoulder revealed a rotator cuff tear injury which required pain management injections and surgical intervention under general anesthesia on February 27th, 2020.
