What Happened?
On July 17, 2016, Woodley was driving home with his daughter in the backseat. As he entered the intersection of Springfield Avenue and South 13th Street in Newark, NJ, another vehicle suddenly turned in front of Woodley, causing a t-bone accident. Out of instinct, Woodley threw his right arm back to brace his daughter and attempted to brace himself with his left arm right before the collision.
Immediately following the accident, Woodley did not feel any pain and even refused emergency medical attention. Thankfully his daughter was not injured. The next morning Woodley began to feel a sharp and stiff pain in his shoulders and upper body and took a cab to the University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey where he was diagnosed with injuries to his left shoulder (tear), right elbow, neck and chest.
Woodley heard Adam on the radio and contacted our office. Woodley explained that he was impressed with how fast Adam got back to him and felt at ease when Mr. Handler said, “Woodley, don’t worry. I got this.”
With the guidance of Adam Handler – The Case Handler, our team obtained the full amount of compensation for Woodley from the defendant’s insurance company. While the case could have ended there, Adam continued looking into all options for a maximum recovery and successfully obtained additional compensation for Woodley through his own underinsured motorist policy!
