What Happened?
On October 18, 2024, Becky was a teenage passenger in the front seat of a vehicle stopped in traffic in the right lane of Route 81 near Spring Street in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Without warning, a semi truck behind Becky attempted to stop but suffered brake failure, slamming into the rear of Becky’s car and another vehicle. The collision forced Becky’s vehicle out of its lane into the middle and left lanes before the driver was able to regain control.
