What Happened?
Moses was standing on a scaffold while working with heavy machinery at a construction site in New York, NY. There were not enough workers on-site to assist him while maneuvering the equipment, and the scaffolding itself was not properly secured – both of which contributed to the collapse. Moses fell, landing on his left side and arm, and immediately felt pain. About 30 minutes later, he was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he was evaluated, treated, and released with prescriptions for pain medication.
As a result of the scaffold fall, Moses suffered injuries to his left ankle (fracture) and a torn rotator cuff in his left arm, which did not require surgery. He experienced the most severe pain in his left arm, along with tingling and numbness radiating down into his hand. His left ankle was swollen, and he had difficulty putting weight on it. He also later developed lower back pain that radiated into his lower extremities, primarily on the left side. Moses struggled with basic daily activities, including sleeping, bathing, getting dressed, driving, and prolonged standing or sitting. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was unable to return to construction work.
Moses’ New York Scaffolding Accident Lawyer
Moses initially hired a different law firm. While most personal injury attorneys work on a contingency fee basis, not all lawyers are the same – and not all lawyers are The Case Handler lawyers. Nearly three years after his accident, Moses realized the prior attorney had done NOTHING to move his case forward. That’s when he was referred to our team, and we got to work.
Not only did we take over a delayed case, but we also had to deal with the prior law firm’s lack of cooperation. Despite the significant time that had already passed and the obstacles created by the previous attorney, our New York scaffolding accident lawyer successfully secured a $950,000 settlement for Moses.
If your lawyer’s name is not Adam Handler, you have the wrong lawyer.
