What Happened?
In March 2023, Roshan was stopped at a red light in his vehicle at the intersection of Rock Avenue and Route 22 East in North Plainfield, New Jersey. While waiting behind traffic, he was suddenly rear-ended by a landscaping truck with such force that it pushed his vehicle into the car ahead. Roshan briefly lost consciousness for a few minutes but did not initially think his condition was that serious. His vehicle was towed from the scene, and he took an Uber home. Although he was in pain, he did not believe it was severe enough to go to the hospital by ambulance. However, his condition quickly worsened, so he went to the emergency room later that same day, where he was evaluated, treated, and released.
As a result of the crash, Roshan suffered injuries to his head, neck, lower back, left ribcage, left foot, and left knee. He experienced pain in all these areas, with the most significant pain in his lower back that radiated into his lower extremities. His pain worsened with movement, bending, twisting, carrying objects, and prolonged periods in fixed positions. As a result, these symptoms affected his daily activities and sleep. He participated in conservative treatment for several months and underwent pain management injections in his neck and lower back.
