What Happened?
On January 12th, 2019, Paul was driving with Josephine on Myers Corners Road in the town of Wappingers Falls in Dutchess County. As they were driving past Blackthorn Loop, a vehicle heading in their direction swerved into the car in front of them and then struck the car Paul and Josephine were in head-on! Thankfully, the airbags deployed right on impact. The driver that struck the vehicles could not remember the accident after the police arrived. Paul and Josephine were transported by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center for evaluation, treatment, and were released home with pain medication.
As a result of the accident, Paul sustained injuries to his neck, lower back, and shoulders. He experienced intermittent posterior neck stiffness and pain that would radiate to his shoulders and right arm. He stated that his right upper extremity “feels heavy.” Josephine suffered a chest contusion when the airbags deployed. She also had constant lumbar spine pain that felt worse with bending, lifting, twisting, and sitting for more than 30 minutes. Her mid back pain and lower back pain made it difficult for her to perform activities of daily living which resulted in significant and severe functional limitations.
Paul and Josephine already knew which legal team to call since they had been listening to our radio show for a very long time.
