What Happened?
On September 27, 2019, William was a front-seat passenger in a car that was driving northbound in Pleasantville, a village in the town of Mount Pleasant in Westchester County, New York. The vehicle William was riding in slowed to a stop when traffic ahead came to a complete stop. At that very moment, the car behind them did not slow down in time and rear-ended the car William was in! The impact was so intense that William recalled thinking that the other driver was trying to harm them since it felt like he did not slow down at all. After the accident, William was transported by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center where he was evaluated and eventually released home.
As a result of the accident, William injured his elbows, right knee, left leg, left shoulder, and lower back. He noticed immediate pain in his left leg and right elbow after the accident. He also noticed pain, swelling, and abrasions on the left elbow. The day after the accident, William felt increased pain in the left shoulder when he raised his arm above shoulder level and lower back after sitting for long periods of time. Despite attending physical therapy for several months, William continued having right knee pain with clicking sounds, swelling, and difficulty walking. He ultimately had to undergo right knee arthroscopic surgery on February 14, 2020.
The driver of the vehicle William was riding in told him to call Adam right away! Thanks to that recommendation, William could focus on his recovery while we handled the rest. With the help of our skilled Westchester County injured passenger lawyers at Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP, all of William’s medical bills were paid for and we helped him recover $55,000.00!
