What Happened?
On March 20th, 2021, Kerryann was driving and her sister, Samantha, was sitting next to her. They were traveling on Cross County Parkway in Westchester County. As they were exiting the freeway, Kerryann slowed down to traffic ahead when all of a sudden her vehicle was rear-ended! The driver of the vehicle that hit them told the police that he was unable to stop in time to prevent the accident. Kerryann and Samantha were taken by ambulance to the hospital where they were evaluated, treated, and given pain medication before being discharged home.
As a result of the accident, Kerryann suffered injuries to her neck, lower back, and right knee. She described the worst area of pain in her neck and back as an intermittent sharp, aching, pressure sensation with occasional muscle spasms and headaches. Her right knee pain was a sharp, throbbing sensation with slight swelling and buckling. For support, Kerryann wore a knee wrap. Kerryann’s injuries required physical therapy, pain management injections, and right knee arthroscopy on August 11th, 2021. Samantha, who was 8-months pregnant at the time, suffered injuries to her back. Her back pain would radiate down the right side and the pain grew worse with prolonged standing and walking. When conservative treatment failed to improve her back pain, she underwent pain management injections. Thankfully, Samantha’s baby was fine.
Karryann’s friend told her about attorney Adam Handler.
