What Happened?
In August 2025, Stevie was leaving work and heading home for the day. He had stopped at a red light at the intersection of Inman Avenue and West Street in Woodbridge Township, New Jersey. When the light changed to green, he began moving forward when he was suddenly rear-ended by the vehicle behind him, causing him to hit his head on the steering wheel. The police arrived and reported that neither driver was injured in the accident. However, Stevie did need medical attention and later went to the hospital, where he was evaluated, treated, and discharged the same day with a prescription for pain medication.
As a result of the crash, Stevie suffered injuries to his head, neck, shoulders, and lower back. After hitting his head on the steering wheel, he experienced headaches almost every day until he took medication. He also experienced neck pain that radiated into his upper limbs, along with weakness, numbness, and tingling that worsened with flexion and lateral rotation. While his neck pain was bad, his lower back pain was worse. Stevie had difficulty with movements such as bending, carrying, changing positions, sitting, and standing. He had to stop exercising and running, which he enjoyed, because of his symptoms. He also underwent conservative treatment for several months.
