- Nova from Brooklyn, NY
What Happened?
On February 19, 2024, Nova was driving off the Beltway Parkway, preparing to enter the second entrance of the mall at the intersection of Erskine Street and Gateway Drive. As she slowed down due to traffic ahead, she was rear-ended at full speed by another vehicle. The impact caused her to sustain a whiplash injury and strike her right knee against the dashboard. Nova was evaluated at the scene and later visited the emergency room that same day, where she received treatment and was discharged with pain medication.
As a result of the accident, Nova sustained injuries to her neck, lower back, and right knee. She experienced persistent neck pain accompanied by headaches and shooting pains on the right side of her head. Additionally, she endured lower back pain radiating down her right leg, accompanied by a pins and needles sensation. Her right knee also developed pain on its lateral side, which worsened with prolonged walking, bending, or using stairs. When conservative treatment failed to alleviate her knee pain, she underwent right knee surgery under general anesthesia in May 2024.
Nova’s Settlement By Our Brooklyn Rear-End Accident Lawyers
Nova was a returning client, having previously worked with us on another accident case in 2020. The day after her new accident, she immediately reached out to our team for assistance. Despite the Defendant’s insurance company having a maximum policy limit of $50,000, our Brooklyn rear-end accident lawyers secured the full $50,000 policy limit. In addition, we obtained an extra $21,500 through Nova’s underinsured motorist (UM) coverage, achieving a total settlement of $71,500 – all within just 10 months!
